About the Glass ARTISTS

If you've ever been to the Four Seasons Resort in Carlsbad, Calif. and have seen the Etched Glass Front Entrance with it's Gold Leaf and Carved Logo and the Carved Glass Phone Room Doors then you have seen the work of custom glass Artisians Ken & Betti Michael,  owners of Southern California Art Productions.

Their unique abrasive etchings on glass and mirror have come to adorn some of the most prominent and upscale venues in San Diego, California and beyond.

They moved to North County San Diego from Los Angeles and in 1982 started Art in glass by providing Etched Designs on shower doors for local glass shops.  The business soon expanded into windows, sidelites, front doors, tables, etc. and thereafter branched out into Commercial and Architectural in Restaurants and Hotels.  The Michaels work can be seen in many projects in San Diego such as The Grand Pacific Resorts Seapointe and Palisades where they designed and created glass partitions for the Time Shares.

Located in Carlsbad, Calif., Ken & Betti create Works of Art from their  Studio.  Ken's expertise is in Etching and Specifying Specialty Glass and Mirror and all types of Architectural applications as well as European shower enviroments while Betti's talents are in her artistic ability to create original drawings for etching in full scale (some 8 feet tall) for client approval in each project as well as Etching and Hand Painting custom Art Mirrors. Their capabilities are only limited by the clients imagination.

Their client list in Architectural, Commercial and Residential is very impressive as well as their portfolio of completed jobs.

An expansion in the business has been to Auto Etching windows on PT Cruisers and Classic Cars as well as creating Glass Awards for Auto shows ,Corporate events and more, and creating Unique Gifts.

These Artisians do their work by hand paying special attention to every detail, and they do all the Etching so you know you are working directly with the Artists.
